Spud(VWM078) was born on September 27, 2004, in the Whiskers. His mother was Mozart, a subordinate female, and his father was Pantouffle, a rover from the Vivian. His litter-mates were Tina Sparkle(VWF076), VWF077, and VWM079. His sister VWF077 died during a burrow move instigated by his uncle Yossarian. The other pups survived the burrow move and started foraging with the adults. Since he was not the dominant female's pup, he and his siblings weren't the the center of attention. His brother VWM079 disappeared when the pups started foraging, leaving only Tina Sparkle and Spud alive. Both of them survived to adulthood. Spud became one of the oldest males in the group, but he didn't ever take dominance. The position of dominant male was taken by Zarathustra when Flower died and Zaphod left. Spud lived in the Whiskers for two years before he left to rove by himself. He was Last Seen on June 22, 2007.
