Proteus' wife, Giselle, looked at him. "I am going, I am going." he said, as he put down his coffee and the newspaper down and went into the next room. There, he saw his daughter Amy Rose with a toy hedgehog behind her back. Gumball Watterson, one of her brothers, was standing behind her, and Darwin Watterson, her other brother, was sitting on the floor, crying because Amy hit him on the head with her toy. "Amy?" asked Proteus, "Amy, did you just hit your brother, Darwin, on the head with your toy hedgehog?" "No!" Amy replied rudely. "Are you lying to me?" "No!" Proteus turned to his older son. "Gumball?" "She did it." Gumball said. "No one likes to tattle on other people." said Proteus, as Gumball walked upstairs to his bedroom. Proteus picked up Darwin and rubbed his back to stop him from crying. Then he turned to Amy as he placed the fish in his playpen, saying, "All right, Amy! Go upstairs!" "NO!!" Amy shouted. Now Proteus was getting angry. "Amy Rose, I am not going to say it again! One..." "Two..." "I count!" Proteus shouted, "You do not count!" "Three!" Amy finished. At that moment, Proteus angrily picked up Amy and placed her on the couch for twelve minutes. "All right, that was it!" he said, "Nope, that was it! You are in a time-out! And you are not going to the mall with Knuckles tomorrow!" Amy became very angry. She glared angrily at Proteus and yelled, "YOU ARE AS EVIL AS DR. EGGMAN!!!!" Amy then began to cry and ran away from home with angry tears in her eyes, slamming the front door. Proteus gasped, looking horrified. "Amy, stop! Come back here!" Amy did not listen. She ran away to her adoptive parents' house, where Crash Bandicoot and Coco Bandicoot, Amy's adoptive parents, were waiting for her at the front door. "Amy!" Proteus called after her. Proteus's sadness came into his mind and began to cry with Giselle, Boo Boo Bear, Anne Marie, Roger Rabbit, Gumball and Darwin consoling him. "Oh, Amy, what have I done to you? I didn't mean to get you mad at me and I didn't mean to make you run away from home like that." Proteus sobbed. "I'm sorry, Amy. I'm so very sorry."
