The US-spec RX650 features a light American maple body and chrome hardware. The European version has an alder body and gold hardware. Both versions have a flame maple top and a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard which is bolted to the body with a traditional metal plate. Components include a synchronized tremolo bridge and white Ibanez Axis pickups in an HSH configuration which are mounted to a white pickguard. The humbucker can be coil-tapped for a single-coil like tone. The RX350 is a similar model without the exotic top. The RX650 was discontinued after 1995.
