  • __TOC__
  • Small Shield is a buckler shield in Dragon Age: Origins.
  • The Small Shield is a recurring item in the Legend of Zelda series. It is a defensive item that is presumably lightweight and not very strong.
  • The Small Shield is the second armor in the Shield class. It can be found in the Dungeon between Levels 2 and 20. Merchants may sell it to players who are at or below Level 10. It has a value of 240 gold and a rarity of 450. It takes up 2 x 2 inventory space. The artifact version of Small Shield is The Zealot.
  • Unless made fireproof or rotproof, it can burn or rot when faced with fire or a black pudding/brown pudding's attack. It does not inhibit spellcasting as much as the other shields due to its size, making it a better choice if spellcasters choose to wear shields.
  • Small Shields are lightweight shields with significantly more surface area than bucklers, allowing for better protection against piercing attacks. However, neither of these two smallest shields protect against missiles—like the buckler, a small shield adds +1 armor class penalty against missile attacks, compensating for the overall armor class bonus of -1. Small shields have a weight of 3 lbs and it requires 4 strength to wield them. In Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate: EE, it's available in three different colors, but in Shadows of Amn, it has completely different looks.
