Destroyers were highly advanced Jedi Assault Droids, capable of learning and adapting to their environments. Taking a queue from the IG-100 MagnaGuard concept, the Cylon Imperium built this droid with the simple purpose of eliminating Jedi. The Sith Brotherhood took a liking to the model, and decided to use it as a training regimen for both Sith Lords and Dark Jedi within their ranks. When the Crimson Empire was formed, and it consumed the Cylon Imperium into its ranks, the droid model was transfered to full active service, and would soon see its first full deployment.
