Perched atop a craggy mountain only scaled by technology, Scarred Mesa Skydock has an infamous reputation as a 'last stand' base. In the vein of more famed facilities including the Crown and the Ascent, as well as biolabs in general, this outpost can be intimidating to assault. Short of assembling a battalion of aerial forces and landing shock troopers via Galaxy dropships on the relatively small target that is the base, the only way to the spawn room is a pair of easily-guarded jump pads. Another benefit of its perch is the difficulty that tanks of any faction have in their attempts to besiege the facility; launching shells into it is tough in and of itself, but when a sizable garrison of defenders happens to be firing back, the task is made near-impossible. | - Perched atop a craggy mountain only scaled by technology, Scarred Mesa Skydock has an infamous reputation as a 'last stand' base. Further complicating the matter is that almost all approaches to the base of the mountain upon which the Skydock rests are distinctly lacking in natural or artificial cover; any attempted invasion force can be seen and prepared for from a long distance off. Anti-aircraft MAX units and troopers with lock-on rocket launches will almost indisputably be deployed to defend this region, as it is the keystone to an eastward incursion towards the Warpgate.
