(TNG episode: "Preemptive Strike") In 2371, the Vetar pursued the Maquis raider, Val Jean, into the Badlands following an attack on a base in the Terikof Belt. The Vetar was forced to halt the pursuit after suffering severe damage after hitting a plasma column. (VOY episode: "Caretaker")
