The Hamilton Wedge was an imprint wedge that had, through unknown circumstances, become damaged, losing half of the data stored on the wedge and a two to one compression ratio. Bennett Halverson had famously been able to repair the wedge and restore the data on it using unknown decompression algorithms, setting forth an example of what was possible to do with wedges. This would later on be used by Topher Brink as a reason to keep the damaged back up wedge of Caroline Farrell's personality, destroyed a year previously by Alpha. Bennett's restoration of the Hamilton wedge, and Topher's inability to restore the Caroline Farrell's back up wedge would also serve to the reason why she was abducted from the D.C. Dollhouse and brought to the L.A. Dollhouse. (S2: "Getting Closer")
