The Sabre initially appears as a simple, though fancily decorated, hilt. However, by pressing a button on the hilt, Carson can activate a series of Light Dials built into it. As the light is released, the photons making it up begin to push against and deflect each other, and are released from the hilt as a hardened beam of light that can cut through objects with incredible cleanliness and speed. However, like most Dial-based weaponry, this cannot be used forever, and needs to be recharged by adding new light to the dials, thus making the weapon, in a sense, 'solar powered'. In addition, the light can only be released as long as Carson keeps the button pressed, meaning letting it go carelessly will result in it deactivating.
