The Chronicle could be passed to each human or Scribe member, as seen when Liu-Shen passed it to Dirk, when he requested it to fight Sieg without using his Starbearer's power.When Dirk's body reduced into dust, the tattoo was passed again to Liu-Shen. Most of the Scribes despise Liu-Shen to be their new leader, telling them that Luo-Tao should be the one who lead them. Liu left the Scribe's village to release his burden of being a forever-villager of the Scribe's village.
