Pshing was adjutant to Fleetlord Atvar of the Race's Conquest Fleet during the campaign to conquer Tosev 3. Pshing held the position until Atvar was recalled to Home. During the Race Invasion of Tosev 3, Pshing forwarded intelligence reports to Atvar, such as Britain's use of poison gas and the first Race mutiny in Siberia led by Ussmak. Atvar came to dread Pshing's communications as they were always bad news. After the war, Pshing grew very cynical and believed that conflict with the Tosevites, even if the planet would be colonized, would never end.

After the war, Pshing grew very cynical and believed that conflict with the Tosevites, even if the planet would be colonized, would never end. After the arrival of the Colonization Fleet, Pshing escorted Felless to Cairo and gave her advice on the current state of Race-Tosevite relations. During their stay in the Shepherd Hotel, Pshing nonchalantly viewed one of many civil disturbances in the city, having become used to being under fire (much to Felless' horror).
