“The Power of One”, CMT One Country’s campaign launched in November of 2006, aims to mobilize one million volunteers across the United States. Efforts to encourage volunteerism include original public service announcements, segments on CMT programming including CMT Insider and CMT Top 20 Countdown, partnering with Habitat for Humanity during CMT GIANTS: REBA (Reba McEntire) as well as a partnership with Global Youth Service America with Taylor Swift as the representative in 2007. The CMT One Country site serves as a resource portal for interested viewers across the country. Upon registration, users are able to search the extensive VolunteerMatch network of volunteer opportunities in all regions, including opportunities with CMT One Country’s five nonprofit partners. In January of 2007, CMT One Country launched a rewards program to motivate registered users to continue volunteering on a regular basis.
