The British Bloc refers to nations affiliated with the British Union during the Cold War, but not part of the loose British Commonwealth or the British Union itself. British Bloc nations generally were part of the Ottawa Pact, the common defense treaty signed by the UBPR, the Commonwealth nations, and the affiliated British Bloc nations on January 10, 1954 in response to the formation of TATO.
