They were among the many races that the Horothrium dominated, but unlike some of the others, they still had the spirit of independence. When the Horothrium were kicked out, the people of Tagol IV quickly joined the Nymean Ascendancy and were admitted as a member planet.

When the Horothrium War broke out, they revolted with the aid of Nymean forces. The revolt started the First Tagol Campaign that ended in the Horothrium finally being kicked out of the system. The freedom was short lived, the Horothrium came back in the Second Tagol Campaign. The only thing that got the Horothrium out the second time was the destruction of Horoth Prime. Tagol IV would be the worst damaged contested planet in the war as heavy fighting occurred on it for most of the war. When the Horothrium were kicked out, the people of Tagol IV quickly joined the Nymean Ascendancy and were admitted as a member planet.
