- Fenrir Greyback est un loup-garou, allié de Voldemort. Partisan de la supériorité de sa race sur les sorciers classiques, il aime mordre les sorciers, surtout les enfants. Une de ses victimes les plus connues n'est autre que Remus Lupin dont le père l'avait offensé. Il rejoint les rangs de Voldemort durant la première guerre des sorciers pour avoir accès à de nouvelles victimes. Après sa chute, il fait parti de ceux qui ne le recherchent pas, le considérant comme mort. Lors du retour de Voldemort, en 1995, il rejoint de nouveau ses rangs. Il n'est pas un Mangemort à part entière car il n'a pas la Marque des Ténèbres sur son bras.
- Fenrir Greyback wirkt schon auf den ersten Blick furchterregend. Seine Gestalt ist so massig und groß, dass sie fast den Zaubererumhang sprengt. Seine dreckstarrenden Hände mit den langen, gelblichen Fingernägeln sind bedrohlich. Seine grauen Haare sind verfilzt. Er stinkt nach Schweiß, Dreck und Blut. Wenn er den Mund öffnet, werden seine spitzen Wolfszähne sichtbar und in seinen Augen liegt ein gieriger Ausdruck. Auch seine tiefe, heisere Stimme erinnert an Wolfsgeheul.
- Fenrir Greyback (fl. 1945 – 1998) was a werewolf notorious for his savagery and preference for attacking children. He was a leader in his community and strived to infect as many people as possible with lycanthropy, hoping to build an army strong enough to eventually take over the wizarding community. It was he who infected Remus Lupin with lycanthropy when Remus's father (Lyall Lupin) insulted werewolves and said "they deserve nothing less than death."
