Shinjo Ikuru was a commander of the City between the Rivers guardsmen. He allowed to enter a group of Unicorn Returned Spirits, and one of them, Moto Chuttuk, lured the guards in a play of dice. Eventually Chuttuk was wielding a katana, threatening the lifes of Ikuru and his men with just a single strike. The city had been invaded by their own ancestors, followers of the Steel Chrysanthemum, which had begun to seize control of the city. Ikuru died when he confronted Chuttuk, who slaughtered with mastery all those who attacked him.
