| - Unknown to most, the universe was far more expansive than anyone would have realized. Darth Plagueis came to discover this after his "death" decades before the rise and fall of the Galactic Empire. After creating Anakin Skywalker with his Midicholorian Manipulation techniques, his current apprentice Darth Sidious put together in his mind what Plagueis' plans were. The fact that the boy he was creating was Plagueis' intended replacement for Sidious because of how powerful he would potentially become. So one night while Plagueis slept, Sidious unleashed a brutal attack of Force Lightning onto his master in attempt to destroy him. After which Sidious enacted his own plans to overthrow the Republic and lead to the rise of a Galactic Empire under the control of the Sith. Plagueis had long strove to discover techniques that would lead to the power of immortality and master life and death itself. And he had managed to succeed to an extent, because though his physical body had withered and died, he lingered in the realm of the living in a spectral state. However, he had more limited power and abiliy to interact within the physical world. In th at form however, he was granted limitless possibilities of where he could explore, and eventually happened upon a Galaxy in unknown regions of space. It was pretty developed and sophisticated, but had little knowledge of the Force's existence beyond vague notions, let alone the ability to wield it. He brought that knowledge to them, garnering himself a multitude of learners willing to listen to him. One of them was a powerful nobleman from the planet of Aquilae named Jode Sandage who became his first and one of his most powerful disciples. With the promise of power, many listend. And he slowly but surely started bringing droves of those with Force potential under his banner to the point that they eventually decided to not only take over the governments of their Galaxy, but also to change it's social formations. Whilst Plagueis was instrumental and held a lot of power Sandage, eventually dubbed Darth Imperious, was the one who set up and "technically" led the new regime with Plagueis in the role of a mentor/advisor to the Sith, particular Sandage and the highest elite and still head great sway in the court because of his contributions. Though Sandage, eventually dubbed Darth Imperious, at first believed that all Plagueis wanted was to restore the glory of the Sith and have help and restoring him to physical form. But as time went he more and more got the feeling that Plagueis had bigger plans in mind than he let on . Under the Sith regime those with greater Force potential had greater power, wealth, and rights than those with little to none. The lower class was made into their serfs, the Sith claiming that protection would be provided to them by their order in exchange for their loyalty and service. Though some oppossed, most assimilated into this lifestyle. One of the rights included to the highest ranking of Sith was the right of Herran Oikeus, which gave those lords sexual rights to any woman on the night of their wedding. The most controversial rule instated, but one that was just accepted as being the way things were. Experiments in eugenics were also conducted when they discovered the tying of Midicholorians, heredity, and Force potential. There being interest in creating a "master race" of the most powerful wielders of the Force to serve his empire. Eventually an arena system was set up for the entertainment of the people where individuals, generally those who have Force Potential, were pitted into battles to the death with each other. As well as other opponents such as various types of animals and droids. The spectacle regularly drawing in the masses of common people, and helped to distract them from their society's major problems. Those put into the arenas were generally Force Users who refused to join the ranks of the Sith regime, or those who betrayed or failed the regime. Some Sith however would voluntarily enter such battles to show off their power and fighting prowess and attain great fame. Trainees were taught both lightsaber combat, as well as how to use Force Abilities and attacks. To keep them in line however, explosive tracker implants were put into each of their bodies that could be detonated by either a guard watching them or if they tried to tinker with them with their Force abilities. They were mainly taught to embrace the Dark Side however, with the idea being that it would corrupt their minds the longer they went on fighting. To the point that if they became victrious enough in the arena, they could eventually have the chance to win their freedom with it generally expected that their minds would be fully corrupted by that point.
