The Women's Premier Ice Hockey League is the second-level of women's ice hockey in Great Britain, below the Women's Elite Ice Hockey League. It is administered by the English Ice Hockey Association, which exists under the umbrella of Ice Hockey UK. A second-level competition has been contested since 1990, and the Women's Division One Ice Hockey League league existed in a structured form starting in the 1996-97 season.
