There are 8 Sohn Ppae Ki, and they are the first things a beginning Kuk Sool Won™ student is taught, even before stances. All of them involve spreading the fingers wide apart (Sohn Sahl Li Ki, or "hands alive"), which causes the tendons in the wrist to expand, loosening the openent's grip. From there, the 8 techniques vary on how you escape the wrist grab, but all are effective.
