- Joshua (Hebrew: יְהוֹשֻׁעַ Yehoshua; Greek: Ἰησοῦς, same as Jesus; Latin: Josue or Jesus in Hebrews; Arabic: يشع بن نون Yusha‘ ibn Nūn), according to the Hebrew Bible, became the leader of the Israelite tribes after the death of Moses.
