| - Energy Storage is the Elementalist primary attribute, which increases maximum energy by 3 for every point invested.
- The Energy Storage is a level 1 structure in Total Annihilation available to both the ARM and the CORE. For each Energy Storage built, the player's energy stock capacity is increased by 3000. Conversely, each Energy Storage destroyed will reduce the player's energy stock capacity by 3000, and the excess energy is lost. The building is essential to have when weapons that consume large amounts of energy are in play, and is also useful in storing excess energy for later use.
- Because the sun cannot shine all the time, homes powered by solar energy need other sources of energy, or a way of storing that energy for later, or both. This storage can be real or theoretical.
* Storing electrical energy in chemical form inside a battery is real storage -- you can get electricity back out of it later. Of course energy storage isn't 100% efficient, and the battery will never give you back everything you stored in it.
* Theoretical or notional storage would include feeding your electrical energy to the electrical utility grid during sunny days and then buying electricity from the same utility at night. Here you are not really storing anything, but you are building up credit during the day which you can draw down at night. Perhaps something real is being stored, but

A system is generally desiged to store electrical energy or heat.
