Megan MacLean was a Loomis citizen, politician and resistance fighter. In 1915 PD, she founded a new party, the Loomis Liberation League, to form an opposition to the ruling Prosperity Party. It won in two of Elgin City's boroughs, giving it 0,4 percent of the seats in Parliament. In the following election, however, the government removed the LLL from its seats, prompting MacLean to adopt a more radical policy.

In the following election, however, the government removed the LLL from its seats, prompting MacLean to adopt a more radical policy. What followed was a brutal civil war that ended when the Solarian League Navy moved in on the rebels, wiping them out with kinetic strikes from orbit. MacLean herself was shot and killed by Unified Public Safety Force troopers in 1922 PD. (HH14)
