He played junior hockey for the Guelph Biltmores from 1947 to 1950. While there he insisted that the team five his kid brother a tryout. That was how Andy Bathgate got his start. The two played on a line together in 1949-50. Frank only got into two games for the Rangers in 1952-53, scoring no points. Otherwise he spent his career in the minor pro and senior ranks. He retired in 1962.
