| - The manor holds includes an extensive subterreanean cave system that Bruce discovered as a boy and later became the Batcave, Batman's base of operations. It is accessed by a hidden door in the manor's study behind a non-functioning grandfather clock, which opens to a descending staircase when the hands on said clock are tuned to 10:47 pm, the time Thomas and Martha Wayne was killed. Batman used the Batcave as his command center, where he monitors all crisis points in Gotham and the world. The cave's centerpiece is the supercomputer, the Batcomputer, whose specs are on par with any of those used by leading national security agencies; it permits global surveillance and also connects to a massive information network as well as storing vast amounts of information, both on allies and enemies. A series of satellite link-ups allows easy access to Batman's information network anywhere in the globe. The systems are protected against unauthorized access, and any attempt to breach this security immediately sends an alert to Batman or his allies. The Batcomputer is generally considered to be one of the most powerful super computer systems. The Batcave also has a collection of ancient armor due to Batman's study in military history. Additionally, the cave contains state-of-the-art facilities such as a crime lab, various specialized laboratories, mechanized workshops, personal gymnasium, a vast library, parking, docking and hangar space for his various vehicles as well as various exits for the separate types, and a large bat colony. It also has medical facilities as well as various areas used in training exercises for Batman and his allies. The Batcave houses Batman's vast array of specialized vehicles, and the cave is powered by a hydro-electric generation but a nuclear reactor may replace it. Batman later incorporated safeguards against earthquakes and even nuclear catastrophe, outfitting the cave as a virtual bomb shelter or an enhanced panic room.
