The Invasion of Korriban in 239 ABY precipitated the Super Galactic War. It was carried out by the Killistian Republic. On Korriban the invasion was also known as the September Campaign or the 239 ABY Defensive War. In the Republic it was sometimes referred to as the Korriban Campaign or the Korriban-Republic War of 239 ABY. For the Republic General Staff, it was codenamed Case White. This invasion saw the first use of the 'Rapid Attack' tactic of the Republic military, which would be used to great effect throughout the remainder of the war.

In the Republic it was sometimes referred to as the Korriban Campaign or the Korriban-Republic War of 239 ABY. For the Republic General Staff, it was codenamed Case White. The invasion of Korriban marked the start of the Super Galactic War, as Korriban's allies, the Mandalorians and Dantooine declared war on the Republic on 3 September. The invasion began on 1 September 239 ABY. Although the Mandalorians and Dantooine declared war on Germany soon after the Republic attacked Korriban, very little direct military aid was provided. Following a Republic-staged "Korriban attack" on 31 August 239 ABY, on September 1, Republic forces invaded Korriban from the north, south, and west. Spread thin defending their long borders, the Korribanian armies were soon forced to withdraw eastward. After the mid-September Korribanian defeat in the Battle of the Valley, the Republic gained an undisputed advantage. Korribanian forces then began a withdrawal southeast. The Yuuzhan Vong, in keeping with a treaty that had been signed with the Republic, then invaded Korriban as well and took the eastern half of the planet In the aftermath of the September Campaign, a resistance movement was formed. Korriban's fighting forces continued to contribute to Allied military operations throughout the Super Galactic War. The Republic captured the Vong-occupied areas of Korriban when it invaded the Yuuzhan Vong on 22 June 241 ABY, and lost the territory in 244 ABY to an advancing Vong Army. Over the course of the war, Korriban lost over 20% of its pre-war population under an occupation that marked the end of the Second Korribanian Kingdom. This invasion saw the first use of the 'Rapid Attack' tactic of the Republic military, which would be used to great effect throughout the remainder of the war.
