To craft one Wood Chest, you'll need (as of R28 in February 2016): * 4 Wood Slabs made of any kind of Wood or Logs in a Processor * 2x Vines, taken from Cragwood-trees, Wildwood-trees in the Jungle or obtained from several kinds of Leafies * 2 (blocks of) Beeswax, found on trees, in Wood Treasure Chests or grown from Queen Bees Upon crafting/taking a Wood Chest, the crafting-recipes for Wood Signs and Stone Chests will automatically be unlocked. The Stone Chest has 20 slots. These chests are not identical to the randomly spawning Treasure Chests and cannot be found on any Creativerse gameworlds currently (as of R29 in March 2016), but can only be crafted by players themselves. To use storage chests, you will have to place them into the game-world and then activate them by right-click or typing "f" (as the default key) when looking at them. These chests do not need any free space above to be opened (in fact you won't see an opening-animation at all). You can put whole stacks of stackable materials/blocks/items into these chests from your inventory or quick-bar by right-clicking or dragging & dropping with your left mouse-button. If you hold a stack of stuff with your mouse-button (left click), you can drag it over the chest and then right-click to drop only one piece of the stack (also repeatedly). You can also hold left shift + left click, then drag to move half a stack, or hold left shift + right click to move five items, or hold left ctrl + right click to move one item. You can use the same kind of procedures to take stuff / stacks from chests. You can name Wood Chests (these names will be shown when you look at them instead of "Wood Chest") individually, by activating/opening the chest and then clicking on the icon that looks like a square (note) with a pen to the right of the word "Wood Chest". You can type up to 30 characters into this array. Even though while writing into this field all letters look like capital letters, you will be shown lower case letters too after confirming your entry with "enter"/"return". You can also change a few settings for each chest by clicking on the padlock-icon shown in the top right corner after activating/opening the chest. Here you can set individual authorizations to control who will be permitted access to this chest (and its contents). Available permission-settings currently (January 2016): "just me", "world owner/admins", "world mods", "builders" or "everyone". Chests cannot be picked up as long as anything is stored inside. After emptying them, you can pull Wood Chests even without having any Power Cells equipped. Even though Wood Chests are made from Wood, they are fireproof and can even be placed into liquid Lava without burning to a crisp.
