The Horse and Groom is a pub close to Arthur Dent's house, his local apparently. Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent use it for stocking up on necessary protein restoratives and muscle relaxants before a long journey. The pub sells packets of peanuts at seven pence each (in 1979 - equivalent to perhaps £2.50 in 2015).
