| - Years ago before the major exploration of the new continent and the events of Moga Village. In a small northern igloo and hut village on Akura's west coast, there was a 12 year old boy named Pike that would always sneak out and play with the baby Pokara at the sea shore avoiding the eyes of his and the Pokara's parents. Eventually after a month and a half and of getting away, one of the adult Pokara spotted him and chased him off. From then on the baby Pokara he played with was under watchful eye of its mother and he could never play with it again. 2 weeks pass and a mysterious glacier floated to the shore and an unknown monster to the guild Giaorugu showed up and began making the land near the village its territory. Within a week the Giaorugu began terrorize the village and the Pokara that lived outside the village making the Pokaradon that was once more peaceful became extremely territorial. Conflict between the two monsters was obviously gonna endanger the village. The villagers couldn't afford to wait, the Giaorugu had to be repelled or defeated. The village sent out someone to be a messenger to contact the guild but after a week he never returns. 2 more days pass and a villager fishing outside the village finds the remains of the messenger frozen and stabbed by the Giaorugu's tail through his chest. Everyone in the village is frightened as they are in an isolated location terrorized by a Giaorugu VS a Pokaradon, Being attacked by Giaorugu when the Pokaradon scares it away from its herd and have no assured way to contact the guild. The village is forced to abandon the village and contact the guild as a whole or stay and be sitting ducks picked off one by one. So it was decided to abandon the village, contact the guild and return with armed hunters. Pike in the middle of this didn't want to abandon his home but he had no choice his father forced him to leave as did everyone else. It would be a 2-3 day walk half of 1 day uphill to the nearest guild outpost and with the Giaorugu stalking outside. Everyone prepared for the danger ahead as they set out walking away from their icy shore village to climb the rocky snow covered hills towards civilization. As soon as they left they started going uphill thy could spot the Giaorugu heading towards their village for an easy meal only to find the place empty and abandoned, though it did find their food storage and easily destroyed the igloo to gain access. 1 day into their travel they come across a hole in the side of the rocky cliffs that leads strait down into a cave and from the top a Giaprey could be spotted with nest guards surrounding and a Giadrome sleeping. The villagers took extra measures to not awaken and alert the nest as they are in no condition to fight. A day and a half later they reach the gates of a town with a hunters guild outpost and were welcomed in. Immediately they searched for and found the guild outpost in town and made a report of what has happened to their home and had the guild sign up hunters for the job of hunting the Giaorugu. The villagers rested in the town as hunter after hunter passed the quest board skipping their request. Two days pass and a group of elite hunters enter the room and unexpectedly sign up for the villagers request. First of the hunters was a male already wearing armor made from a Giaorugu and had an Abiorugu Long Sword, 2nd joiner was a male hunter in Silver Rathalos armor and a Silver Rathalos Great Sword, 3rd was a female hunter in Turquoise Bow users armor with a Teostra Bow and 4th a male hunter in Lao-Shan-Lung armor and a foreign Lagiacrus Sword and Shield. Pike observed these hunters and maybe pestered them about with questions about their adventures. He was told about many lands and places he never even dreamed of like the tropical land of Metape, and the strange forests of Bateyubatomu. Pike was fascinated by the story's he was told and could only imagine how things really looked, Pike was walking towards the exit to return to the rest of his village but decided to walk back and ask the Hunter in the Giaorugu armor his name, The hunter replied "My name is Keigo. The guy with the big sword over there is Gill, her with the bow is keela and the extra quiet guy with the sword and shield name is Willson" and waved goodbye to Pike as he exits the building, but to his surprise he walks outside to find a menacing fully grown Ice Halk outside with a collar on that said "Varsh and Keigo" around its leg. The halk stared at Pike with its red eyes tilting its head to the left before ignoring him and continues waiting for Keigo. Pike ran back to the rest of the villagers and told them of the hunters who have signed up for their request. The next day the hunters and their Ice Halk set out to hunt the Giaorugu. The villagers followed leaving town to watch from up hill of their village. The Giaorugu has taken claim of their village as a home and has killed the Pokaradon leading the Pokara, it could be seen feasting on its body dragged into the village from uphill. The villagers gathered uphill to the east watching as the hunters approached the ruins of their village prepared for battle. Keigo leaves some explosives and his Halk behind giving it a command to stay with villagers for now until he gives the signal. Keigo led his hunting party to approach the Giaorugu from behind. Keela prepared her arrows coating, Gill began stretching, Willson started adding a coating of poison to his sword and Keigo began sharpening his blade. Keigo was the only one of them who knew exactly what this monster was, the others were just following. The other hunters approach the Giaorugu surprised to find it has coated its tail in an ice blade. Keela decides to use the village entrance as a location to begin a sniper technique known only by certain hunters. Keigo sneaks over and places a pitfall trap device at the village entrance ahead of the bow user. The Giaorugu surrounded by the villages ruins stops eating and looks behind its self spotting Keela's red armor over the ice between two half destroyed igloos. Instantly the Brute Wyvern roars at her and begins charging only to fall into the pit, its face at her face unable to reach her it struggles as she runs into the ruins to change sniping locations. Suddenly Gill from Giaorugu's left and Keigo from the right start slicing at its face only causing minor damage to its thick hard skin. Within seconds of their attacking the Giaorugu escapes the trap and charges strait at the Gill, Gill guards with his Great Sword as hard as he can but is slung as the Giaorugu rams his sword and knocks him back. The Giaorugu runs in for the kill but it interrupted as Keigo slices at its feet as it walks. The Giaorugu attempts to smash Keigo with its tail blade to rid of him but that only gives the Gill time to escape and hide. Keela with a new spot to sniper gets on one knee and aims charging a shot while Kaigo evades the tail smash attempt by the Giaorugu only to start a sword fight with the monsters tail as the Giaorugu swings it at him. Gill runs over recovered to assist Keigo using his sword as a shield, Gill urges Keigo to go around and aim for the face. Suddenly while the Giaorugu is distracted looking behind it to slice at Keigo and Gill, Willson jumps at its face with the poison coated sword and slices at its mouth to apply the poison, Immediately the poison takes affect in its mouth but will take some to fully affect. The Giaorugu instantly proceeds to attack Willson biting his leg and tossing him towards the ruins. Keigo and Gills Fire swords begin melting the ice sword on Giaorugu's tail leaving it open for attack, the Giaorugu knowing it is now vulnerable takes advantage of its tail being free of the weight from the ice and uses its tail swinging it at high speed spinning towards Gill and Keigo. Before the Giaorugu could reach Gill and Keigo with its sharp tail an arrow from Keela hits it on the face and the Giaorugu is stunned for a moment, Taking advantage of this Keigo runs over and slices the Giaorugu on the belly only causing a scratch, and Keela begins to take aim from long range again. The Giaorugu begins to unleash a completely unexpected breath attack towards Gill who is frozen instantly. Keigo runs for a retreat into the ruins to plan his next move only to be followed by the Giaorugu who lost him. Keigo begins sneaking around to find keela who is somewhere in the ruins also. 1 hour passes as the villagers watch from uphill the Giaorugu begins to appear to be tiring down as the poison takes affect, knowing this Keigo decides to make his move only to run into Keela who scares him by mistake behind one of the destroyed igloos. Keigo panting heavy says to Keela "Di-did you see Willson anywhere? I can't find him" and Keela replies "I found him..... he didn't land safely" she said as she shook her head and Keigo says "So what we the last ones left?" Keela nods and says to Keigo "We got any plans?" Keigo replies "Well it looks like that thing is tiring from Willson's poison so I guess we have a current advantage of some kind. How about this you get in position and hit it first then I go for a weak spot?" Keela replies "Sounds good but what weak spot?" Keigo replies with his hands over his face "I don't know...... I'll think of something...just get in position, okay?" Keela nods in agreement. Keela search's around the ruins and finds an open window between some ruins with free aim at the Giaorugu's face and begins charging her shot while Keigo sneaks around from behind. Keela adjusts her aim for the left eye of the monster and releases her arrow hitting it directly in the eye with a flame arrow, instantly Keigo whistles for his Halk Varsh to come into the battle as he jumps out and begins slashing at its now blind side as the Giaorugu attempts to slash him with its tail and spikes. Keigo manages to deal some damage to the creatures left leg and belly before it begins to unexpectedly run ahead and turn around to see Keigo with its right eye and begins to run at him then rolls up and begins rolling much like a Uragaan towards Keigo. Keigo immediately panick dives out of its path to his right so he could take advantage of the monsters blind spot. As soon as the Giaorugu stopped rolling he rushed over and began slashing at the left side of its face as it tries to freeze him with its breath attacks and Varsh fly's over with explosives in claw and drops them on the Giaorugu's back. The Giaorugu flinchs and is burnt on its back plates. Varsh charges in and attacks the creatures back scratching and biting at its back plates drawing blood. Keela prepares her next shot and fires at the monsters back making a hole in one of its back plates, The Giaorugu flinch's in pain from the damage to its spikes and the scars now on its face it begins to violently go on a rampage destroying everything around it with its tail and ramming with its head. Keigo frightened by the monster doing this so close so he runs fast as possible away from the monster as it continues its rampage slamming its tail on the ground so hard it creates holes in the solid ice. Keela fires another sniper shot at its back causing it to flinch again and continue its high speed rampage. Eventually the Giaorugu ran as fast as it could strait out the area fast as it could over the hills to the North-East. Quest complete as the Giaorugu is repelled and the village zone is now safe, Keigo and Keela head to the center of the ruined village and rest up before heading to the villagers and telling them about their success. Keigo sits down in the ruined center with Keela and says "So think this was worth it?.. we lost Willson and Gill to that thing" Keela replies sitting against Keigo's back with one hand on her face "This is horrible... what are we gonna tell the guild?" Keigo replies "Nothing its our job remember, we signed up for this we knew the consequences and so did Willson and Gill" Keela replies "I know but still... they were your friends Keigo" Keigo begins to look regretful and stands up and says "Being sad is not gonna fix anything, we can at least give those two a proper burial and then tell the villagers" Keela nods and the two begin to finish up Willson and Gill's graves. Keigo and Keela proceed to report to the villagers their village is now safe to return to as the Giaorugu is repelled and they will continue pursuit with more hunters as they take their reward money from the villagers and head back down with them to the villages ruins. Keigo and Keela gladly helped rebuild the village and decided to stay for a month. Pike who was watching the hunters from uphill the whole time was fascinated and horrified by the monsters power and starting the next day asked Keigo many more questions over the month of time about his adventures in other lands, About his Halk Varsh and even some information about his job as a hunter. On the day Keigo left he gave Pike a gift as a goodbye gift a fang of a Nargacuga, Keigo said "This is a fang of a shadowy creature from Bateyubatomu that once almost killed me known as a Nargacuga, known by some as a demon and to others black beauty.". Pike gladly accepted the gift and waved as Keigo, keela and Varsh start their walk back to town. From there on Pike dreamed of exploring and making discovery's across the world. END.
