He became Commander of the Queen's Riders after Buri gave up the post due to marrying Raoul of Goldenlake.

He became Commander of the Queen's Riders after Buri gave up the post due to marrying Raoul of Goldenlake. Evin first appeared in Wild Magic and later made some small appearances in the Protector of the Small quartet, namely the third volume, Squire. He was based on Tamora Pierce's "Spouse-Creature", her husband Tim Liebe.
