The millisecond (ms) is a unit of time in the International System of Units, defined as 10−3 second using the SI prefix system. Millisecond is the most common unit to specify periods less than a second. There are few examples of the usages of milliseconds. Blink of an eye lasts 300 to 400 milliseconds and light takes 134 milliseconds to travel around Earth's equator.
