Peace Island is a beautiful valley paradise in the Western Sea located off of the northwest coast, a hidden isle inhabited by hedgehogs. The descendants of Urtica and Welfo live there. Skilled healers, they help the escaped slaves from The Ring regain their mental and some of their physical health. Later, they help the escaped slaves from Althier and Tiria Wildlough (WR). Peace Island appears in The Galedeep Chronicles and book one of The Quean and The Rhulain.

Trisscar, Welfo, and Shogg sheltered there while fleeing from the evil Princess Kurda and Plugg Firetail. Inhabited solely by hedgehogs, the inactive volcano had never been discovered by vermin, because from the outside it looked like a solid rock isle. The vale rested within. Though Triss and Shogg left, Welfo decided to stay at Peace Island. Like the Waterhogs, the hedgehogs of Peace Island spoke in an archaic manner.
