Lake Evendim, or "Nenuial", was one of the many lakes of Middle-earth. The elven name Nenuial is Sindarin for "Lake of Twilight", suggesting that the lake was best seen at that time of day. The lake was about 100 miles north of the Shire in northern Eriador. It was approximately 50 miles from north to south and 20 miles east to west. It was bounded on the west by the Emyn Uial (Hills of Evendim) and on the south by a ridge of hills not named. On its southern shore was Annúminas, the first capital of Arnor. The Baranduin flowed out of this lake towards the east.

- The lake itself is in the crater left behind after the destruction of Ma'ar's headquarters in the Royal Palace of Tantara during the Cataclysm that ended the Mage Wars. Among the Tayledras it is called the 'Great Crater Sea.'
