Vanity Smurf leaves the forest with sadness and believes no one wanted to look at him as he misunderstands that the others are teasing at the bigness of his nose. Meanwhile, Gargamel, who was picking mushrooms in the forest, listens to him and pretends to be helpful. Gargamel smeared ointment in Vanity Smurf's nose, causing his nose to grow and put warty. Gargamel says it is because he has confused the bottles of hornbeam and thistle, but as he is no longer carpe, may have in the laboratory of Papa Smurf , so the Smurf Vain guides to the Smurf village , which turns out to be a trick to capture the Smurfs.
