Within the sanctum lie many secrets, such as diaries, journals and scrolls containing the history of not only the Uchiha Clan, but the shinobi world at large. Among other research papers are the translations of the Uchiha stone monument, courtesy of Madara Uchiha, as well as the true secrets of the Rinnegan, who is presumably how Orochimaru was able to gain the knowledge he did, despite never once possessing even the standard form of the Sharingan. The sanctum is home to a massive underground library. Books here stray from as complex as Kaguya's reign, to as peculiar as romance novels. Sayuri has also noted an additional vault within the basement requiring a user of the rinnegan to unlock.
