According to Smith, he discovered the monkey in a cavern beneath central Karamja, where most of the few remains of ancient Karamjan society can still be found. In his tale, he recounts fighting past vines, traps, zombies, and tribesmen. Ultimately, Smith overcame the tribesmen by hiding behind a stalactite and firing his shortbow.
