Last Unicorn Games (LUG) was a company licensed by Paramount to produce roleplaying game (RPG) booklets and accessories for Star Trek from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, Last Unicorn Games was bought by Wizards of the Coast, and subsequently Paramount decided not to keep their deal with LUG, and instead awarded the RPG license to Decipher. Many gamers still continue to use the LUG material and Icon gaming system. Others have developed conversions to the Decipher Coda-based system.

A few months later, Paramount Pictures decided to stop collaboration with the company, instead granting Decipher the Star Trek RPG license.
