The story begins in the world of Team Improbable when the Team were stopping a group of Normbots from stealing the secret recipe to the Ember Cupcakes. Afterwards, Izzy was rewarded the Vigilant Patch for getting it back. At Ferb's lab, they found Ferb had worked on a new invention of his: the Other Dimensionator. Apparently, Ferb had worked all week on it overnight. Testing it out, Ferb warned them that he discovered it had unstable effects that could rip the timespace continuum apart if they aren't too careful. "Just leaving the portal open for an extensive period of time," he said, "could freeze time itself." "Don't worry, Ferb," claimed Phineas, "we'll be careful with the machine." Ferb then pulled out a remote to help them get home after they were done.

As they stepped through the portal, they found themselves in a world unlike anything they ever seen before: Danville. As they explored the new world, they ran into their counterparts. They found that they were not what they expected and instead are unique and paculiar. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz was trying to devise a new plan to conquer Danville. Then, he spotted the Team and thier counterparts walking by his building. At first, he becomes frustated at the whole doppleganger thing but then realizes he has the oppurtunity of a lifetime for if there was another group of kids like them, perhaps there was another him as well. So he stalked them, hoping to find out where they came from. After learning they were from another dimension, he attempted to get DNA from them so he can trace their dimension but kept getting whacked. At last, he managed to get some of Buford's drool (disgusted at this) and used it in his Dimensional Trace-inator. After that, he opened a portal into their dimension and met his Improbable counterpart who was intelligent and clumsy.
