- In the year 2371, a group of Ogla, led by Maje Jal Jabin, had established a mining settlement on the planet Ocampa were they were mining cormaline deposits. When Voyager threatened to destroy the Caretaker's Array, Jabin led a small task force against the starship to prevent them doing so. However, Voyager was able to hold them off and destroy the array. Jabin declared that Captain Kathryn Janeway had made an enemy of the Kazon. (VOY episode & novelization: Caretaker)

Nadat Chakotay de aanval van de jongen had afgeweerd, vluchtten ze samen naar de maan Tarok. Hier werden echter Ogla wapens getest. Razik stemde er wel mee in om, samen met Voyager, de twee te gaan zoeken. Razik werd echter wel vermoord door Kar op Tarok. En het leiderschap van de sekte ging over naar Jal Haliz. Razik allowed the Kazon boy Kar to earn his Ogla name by attacking Lieutenant Commander Chakotay's shuttle. After Chakotay bested Kar's raider, they escaped to the Ogla weapons-testing moon of Tarok. Razik reluctantly agreed to cooperate with Voyager in recovering them. Razik was killed by Kar on the surface of Tarok, and leadership of the sect passed to Jal Haliz. Kar subsequently earned his standing on Ogla society and became Jal Karden. (VOY episode: "Initiations") In 2410, the Ogla, now led by First Maje Jal Karden, participated in the negotiations that led to the formation of the Delta Alliance. Karden represented the Kazon-Ogla in the talks with Harry Kim of the USS Rhode Island in the Al'yans system. The Ogla aided the Delta Alliance in their fight against the Vaadwaur Supremacy after Sessen had either talked or strong-armed the Relora into betraying the alliance and siding with the Vaadwaur in his misguided quest to avenge his mother, Seska.
