A trademark was filed for the game in North America in 2007, and on April 7, 2011 Namco Bandai Games America filed another trademark. However, according to a recent interview between Kotaku and Tales series producer Hideo Baba, there is no planned localization for Tales of Innocence R (テイルズ オブ イノセンス R Teiruzu obu Inosensu R?), the game's re-imagnination, because "the PS Vita itself is doing relatively poor in the West".
