Augustus Cho is a candidate for the Republican Party nomination for United States House of Representatives in North Carolina's 4th congressional district. He is running against William "B.J." Lawson in the primary election. Cho is also the author of five books including: Intellectual Jock, Great Light Will Shine and Tae Kwon Do: Dedicated to Discipline and is currently working on his sixth book. Cho also is a frequent columnist with the Chapel Hill News. After Studying at a Westminster Theological Seminary Cho became a pastor and took on various positions for twelve years.

As founder of the non-commercial martial arts club, Cho's TKD, Cho attempts to instill discipline through martial arts by pursuing high quality training as opposed to high quantity. With this in mind, membership is by invitation only. Cho is currently the Chairman for the Orange County Republican Party
