Niamh Kavanagh is an Irish singer. Her musical influences include Bonnie Raitt, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald. She contributed to several songs for the soundtrack of the hit film The Commitments. Before Eurovision, she worked as a clerk for the Allied Irish Bank. She participated a second time at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo with the song It's for You. She qualified from the second semi-final in ninth place and finished 23rd in the final. Despite that, it was the start of a run of consecutive qualifications for Ireland from 2010 until 2013.
