  • Gnarl is one of 2 ogrillons guarding bridge leading to the Gnoll Stronghold. He will demand a payment of 200 gp to let the party cross the bridge. The price can be negotiated down to 100 gp. Gorion's Ward can also refuse to pay and initiate combat. This is the recommended path, as killing Gnarl and his companion Hairtooth is the only way to obtain the Gauntlets of Dexterity.

  • "Gnarl" is the prehistoric version of Carl Karl and assistant to Monobrow. He is either a monkey, or an immature caveman who acts like one.
  • Gnarl was the chief antagonist of the Buffy episode "Same Time, Same Place". He was a type of demon that lived by devouring human skin and was an extremely sadistic, frightening creature, even by demon standards: although a one-shot villain he is notable for being one of the show's more brutal antagonists as he kidnapped a hapless Willow and literally began to eat her alive while taunting her over her fears that her friends would abandon her. He was portrayed by Camden Toy.
  • "Evil Always Finds a Way." — Gnarl introduces himself in Overlord. Gnarl is an aged Hellspawn and the Minion Master. He also advises and guides the Overlord. By his recurring appearances in all the Overlord games, it can be assumed that he is possibly the first minion ever spawned. The only other minion almost as old as him is Giblet, which he mentions when touring the fourth overlord. He is very wise and he seems to know many languages. This is demonstrated when he translates the gnome communication when they declare war on the Fourth Overlord, and also when he translates the mumbles of the Silent Order to the Third Overlord. He also has a greater vocabulary than most minions, as he is to be smarter than the minions and has the same intelligence, if not more, than the overlord himself. He
