In 2011, the band experienced a higher level of commercial success whilst keeping the critical acclaim they received for their debut album. They released their second studio album, Confessions, on 1 May 2011 which reached the top five in four different countries and was eventually certified 2x platinum in the UK. The album campaign was launched by the single Party Girls which is their biggest hit to date, reaching #6 in the US. Two other singles; Under The Moonlight and How were also released to moderate chart success. In late 2011, a new single titled Starlight was released as the intended lead single for the planned reissue of their second album. However, the re-release was shelved and the group announced that they were instead working on their third studio album, set for a summer 2012 release. After the announcement, a long period of silence and inactivity from the group followed. From late 2011 onwards, the members of the group delved into different work away from the group, however, no official disbandment had been announced. Vola released a solo single titled "You Sent Me Flying" which achieved moderate success. She also went on to launch her own record label, Kiss My Pop, and is currently a popular television show host in the UK. Stefani gave birth to her first daughter, Simone, on 27 May 2013. Mathis attempted to launch a solo career, focusing on dance music but no material ever surfaced. Lyrica Ocha arguably achieved the most solo success, releasing two singles and going on to create boy band Weekend, one of the world's most successful music acts of all time. Ocha gave birth to her daughter, Belle, on 14 May 2012 and her son, Benjamin on 8 February 2015. Ashli-Jade Price signed a modelling contract with Storm Management in early 2013. Later that year she gave birth to her first child, Aaron on 28 October. She is currently pregnant with her second child. Lead singer, Hira Vine, kept a relatively low profile since the group last released music. Vine, however, launched a popular fashion blog in 2014. On 10 June 2015, a brand new line-up and "relaunch" of G2L made its debut. The group, now a quartet, consists of Billie Cuthbert, Farrah Kingston, Elise Mori and Samantha Hayes. With no original members left and a reduction in numbers, public reaction was mixed. Former member, Lyrica Ocha, revealed that the "new G2L" was her idea and an attempt at creating her first girl group after the success of Weekend. Ocha confirmed that Britney Mathis had actually left the band back in 2013 and that the original four remaining members planned to continue as a four-piece. Price and Vine also left the band in 2014, being replaced by new members Billie Cuthbert and Elise Mori. The new line-up, then consisting of Ocha, Vola, Mori and Cuthbert secretly entered the recording studio but due to personal commitments, the group found it hard to forge ahead. Lyrica and Stefani decided to defect from the band, with Ocha suggesting a relaunch of the group with an entirely new image and sound. Farrah Kingston and Samantha Hayes were eventually drafted in to complete the line-up.
