As the Mission of Glad Tidings is set up for the bazaar Swindley is annoyed to find from Ena that Albert is organising matters and not him. She orders him to stack chairs as per Albert's plan. Stan impresses Annie with his war stories although he has a run in with Ena when he calls her a "nosy old parker" in the Corner Shop. Stan tells Florrie that his daughter "Freda" is the same person as her assistant Irma. Len agrees to organise a knobbly knees contest for the bazaar. The residents find out that Irma is Stan's daughter. Florrie finds a factory worker's paypacket in a box of goods from Ireland. Ena makes Swindley stick labels on clothing for the jumble. Stan turns up at No. 11 and finds Irma. He tells her that he's been reconciled with her mother and they want the family to get back together. She tells him if he means it he'll have to buy the empty No. 13. Stan happily agrees.
