Commander Bucket, alongside five other naval officers, was the target of a conspiracy caused by the Albanian mafia via their kingpin, going by the alias of Angus Clarke's protégé Gareth Godfrey, where they were to be murdered in a way that looked like an accident, and then replaced by Albanian-American members of the Navy that also had ties to Godfrey's crime family.
