Searching for potential competitors for his game, Fezhead (with the help of Skull) finally located five couch potatoes and sent them into different levels. Sackhead and Flame were dumped into a fighting tournament, of which Max Ear Wax was one of the possible opponents. However, they chose Vangar the Spatula Constructor, forcing Max to watch from the side. From this position, he was able to laugh at Flame when his space hopper careered out of control. Unfortunately for him, his laughter ceased when the hopper bounced back into him, knocking him out.

Upon meeting Max Ear Wax, the fallen fighter groggily vowed to do something to those "pesky kids", but didn't elaborate. He then joined the TV personality into Granee 8 Ball's area, where a massive fight broke out. Max Ear Wax took off his hat and allowed his earwax monsters to rear up and attack. The sarcastic substances surrounded Sackhead, currently biting Kebabvan, and taunted him until he was pulled off by Roboniknak. When Fezhead entered the game with love spray, Max Ear Wax's two earwax monsters fell in love with each other.
