Kartan is the fourth planet of the Cuunen System, homeworld of the feline Kartanin, and the capital world of the Kartanin Dominion. It is an arctic world, unwelcoming to most less resilient creatures. There are no oceans or similarily sized bodies of water, and the numerous lakes dotting the rocky surface are more often frozen solid than not. Only moving water, such as the many rivers and fjords, is regularily free of ice, and sometimes used for travel through the many canyons where most Kartanin cities are located. Seismic activities are fairly rare.

| - Kartan is the fourth planet of the Cuunen System, homeworld of the feline Kartanin, and the capital world of the Kartanin Dominion. It is an arctic world, unwelcoming to most less resilient creatures. There are no oceans or similarily sized bodies of water, and the numerous lakes dotting the rocky surface are more often frozen solid than not. Only moving water, such as the many rivers and fjords, is regularily free of ice, and sometimes used for travel through the many canyons where most Kartanin cities are located. These cities are built into the canyon walls, and partly its bottom ground. Some cities sport massive bridges spanning the canyon width and thus connecting the separated parts. These bridges often house buildings themselves, and are stable enough to withstand adverse weather as it is common on Kartan. The largest city is the Kartanin capital, Tarkan-Thur. Some cities are built into mountain ranges as well, though those are few in numbers and heavily protected against the frequent blizzards. Seismic activities are fairly rare.
