abstract
  • 큰 한강의 남쪽 , (Latinised: keun hangang ui namjjog), commonly known simply as South Han, is an absolute monarchy situated on the Hangang (in Korean, 한강 반도) peninsula and its adjacent islands. It, (excluding its unincorporated territories) occupies roughly the same area as the Japanese archipelago. It is a developed country with a GDP (PPP) of 2.99 trillion, it is also a high-income economy with a GDP per capita approaching $30,000. Its prosperity is due to an economic miracle that resulted in its rapid, export-led growth (an average of 15% annually) during a twenty-four year period between 1981 and 2005. The reasons for its success includes large investment in the educational and pillar sectors, and a high human capital. By the late 90s, it became successfully modernised, however the period after 2005 saw its growth drop to only 0.2% in 2006, and then rising back to 3% until 2010. This trend reversed itself after reforms were made to motivate spending. Today, it is one of the fastest growing developed countries, with an average growth of between 4% and 5%.
