| - Chaos Balls are projectiles fired by Goblin Sorcerers, Goblin Summoners and Tim. The chaos ball has one health point, and can be destroyed instantly with any weapon or tool. Similar to Burrowing Monsters, chaos balls are unaffected by blocks. The caster will fire three times before teleporting to a new location.
- The Chaos Ball, also known as the Chaos Bomb, is a connected group of unstable shapes, connected by rotational joints. Chaos ball is usually the more stable kind, where it violently shakes, but not enough to break the rotating joints. The Chaos Bomb, as the name might suggest, is the kind where it shakes violently enough to break the rotational joints, causing the connected shapes to powerfully fly off. There are other designs such as 3D bombs. Some designs doesn't even require a central shape. But the non-floppiness of the rotating joint is the key for the violent shaking.

History The Chaos Ball started with a user challenge made by ProfessorUseless in the Incredibots forums, a week or two before thrusters, mirroring, and scaling came out. The challenge is to make something "fly", or at least not touch the ground without fixating a shape. ProfessorUseless demonstrated with his Chaos Ball, where it does not touch the ground for a very long time. The settings of the rotation joints were 30-Strength, 30-Speed, Auto-clockwise, and not floppy. He also added in a sort of side amusement: He said that if you lower the density of the central circle, it will have this magnificent explosion, so strong that it moves heavy shapes considerably. This is the birth of the Chaos Bomb. The Chaos Bombs were first used as a propellant to launch things so that they fly. Soon, users learned that when the auto-rotation is turned off, it won't violently shake until the Chaos Bomb hits something (or something hits it). That is when chaos bomb is used for its strong destructive power. Design Chaos balls/bombs generally have the same basic design: many dense/heavy shapes all connected to a single central shape to connect all the shapes with non-floppy rotating joints. Chaos balls' central shape usually has a heavy or heavier density than the rest of the shapes, while its explosive cousin (the Chaos Bomb) has a lighter density. There are other designs such as 3D bombs. Some designs doesn't even require a central shape. But the non-floppiness of the rotating joint is the key for the violent shaking. How it works The cause that is responsible for the violent shaking is the rotating joint's non-floppiness (Floppy option turned off). When a non-floppy rotating joint is moved when it's not being controlled (i.e. pressing the key to turn the motor), it tries to stay stiff by exerting a quick reverse rotation, causing a sometimes unnoticeable decelerating shake. With a heavy shape on the "arm part" of the rotating joint, the shake is more apparent because of the inertia of the heavy shape (requires more to stop a heavy shape). In the chaos ball or bomb, when one of the shapes is moved, it causes the other shapes to move because of its connection to the central shape, thus creating an increasing effect of the shake. If you notice a chaos bomb hitting something (with no auto on or key press to activate it), the shaking builds up. This article is a . You can help My English Wiki by expanding it.
