  • Previous - Smooth Talk Himmler (CYOAH) The Japanese Empire decides it needs to take out what remains of the American Pacific Fleet, based in Hawaii. With the United States preparing to go to war with the Soviets, Admiral Yamamoto decided that this would be the perfect time to strike. The attack had been in planning for several years. A fleet consisting of hundreds of airplanes would be sent to Pearl Harbor, in Oahu. In early December, the plan was finally carried out. The attack plan was very similar to OTL, the main difference being the Japanese has slighty more aircraft. The Japanese snuck into Hawaii almost completely unnoticed, until something showed up on radar. As the USA was already on the brink of war, it was decided to investigate. It was not any American vehicle, as they originally thought. They were shocked to find out the Empire of Japan was invading. The Battle of Pearl Harbor had begun. The Americans were caught by surprise, and they were outnumbered by the Japanese. As such, the invading force got several devastating hits early on. The U.S. Navy was not prepared to lose all of its vessels, however, and managed to repel the air raid off of Hawaii with less ships destroyed, but at the cost of more aircraft lost. Roosevelt was faced with a war on two fronts. He needed to make a decision fast. * Try to negotiate with the Japanese * Call off the war with the Soviet Union * Fight on two fronts Doctor Evulz (talk) 02:32, December 8, 2012 (UTC)
